Village Administrator

     

The Village Administrator's Office oversees and coordinates the day-to-day administration of all Village Departments.  By professionally overseeing all service delivery activities, the Village Administrator's Office maintains and enhances the quality of life in the Village of Lincolnwood.  

The Village Administrator is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Village. He is appointed by the Mayor and the Board of Trustees and serves on a full-time basis. The Administrator's responsibilities include oversight of the day to day operations of the Village, enforcement of Village Ordinances, recommendation of policy alternatives to the Board, and preparation of an annual budget for the Board's review. Timothy C. Wiberg was appointed to the position of Village Administrator in June, 2003.

The Village Administrator's Office oversees matters related to the 90 full-time Village of Lincolnwood employees.  Functions in the Human Resources Division include recruitment of new employees, benefit administration, development and administration of personnel policies and procedures and monitoring compliance with state and federal personnel requirements.  The Village of Lincolnwood is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The Cable Television Franchise Agreements and dedicated access channel are also handled from the Administrator's office. This includes responsibility for overseeing the acquisition of communication and audio-visual equipment, maintaining the Village's cable channel 6 and coordinating the Village's internet home page.

The Village of Lincolnwood's internal and external communications programs include the publication of Lincolnwood Connections (the Village bimonthly newsletter), all Freedom of Information requests, press releases, and media contacts all of which are coordinated through the Administrator's office.

The services provided by the Village Administrator's office ensure delivery of efficient government programs that Lincolnwood residents have come to expect.  Under the direction of the Village President and Board of Trustees, the Village Administrator's Office provides leadership to Village Departments and serves as they key contact point for outside agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality, customer-service oriented programs.
