Effective May 1, 2026, flavored liquid nicotine products, commonly referred to as flavored vapes, are prohibited from being sold to any person in the Village of Lincolnwood.
The Ordinance adopted by the Village Board on January 20, 2026 defines flavored liquid nicotine product as any liquid nicotine product that contains a constituent that imparts a distinguishable taste or aroma including but not limited to mint, wintergreen, chocolate, vanilla, honey, cocoa, any candy, any dessert, any alcoholic beverages, any fruit, any herb, or any spice. The Ordinance exempts menthol flavored vapes.
This prohibition on the sale of flavored vapes applies to all existing and future businesses with no exception. Ordinance violations are subject to a fine of up to $2,500 and the Village Manager shall have the right, but not the obligation, to suspend or revoke a license upon any violation.
