The Board of Fire and Police Commission is comprised of five members appointed by the Village President, with staggered terms of appointment.
Members serve 3 year terms.

Board Overview

The Commission is responsible for the certification and appointment of Police Officers and for promotions  to the rank of Sergeant.  The Commission established regulations  for conducting entry level examinations for original appointments and promotions to Sergeant, as well as the handling of charges brought against certain sworn members of the department.
