The annual Lincolnwood Turkey Trot is a chip-timed, USATF-certified 5k and 10k race. This flat and fast course weaves through scenic Lincolnwood and features races for all ages and abilities, including a 5k Fitness Walk and Kid's Drumstick Dash.
Registration has closed! Registration will reopen Race Day at 6:30am. Shirts not guaranteed race day.
Chip-timed 5k, 10k, 5k Walk
Races begin at 8:45 am
Until 10/3 at 5 pm: $40
Until 11/7 at 5 pm: $45
Until 11/22 at 12 pm: $50
Drumstick Dash (6 and under)
Race begins at 10:10 am
Until 10/3 at 5 pm: $20
Until 11/7 at 5 pm: $25
Until 11/22 at 12 pm: $30
Participants can register in-person at the Lincolnwood Community Center (4170 W Morse Ave, Lincolnwood, IL) Monday through Friday from 9 am - 5 pm.
Turkey Trot Volunteers Needed!
The Village of Lincolnwood is looking for Course Marshals for the 49th Annual Turkey Trot 5K/10K event. This is a great volunteer opportunity for school service hours, high school and college sports teams and extracurricular activity groups or friends and families (16 years and over). All volunteers receive a FREE long-sleeved shirt!

Lincolnwood Turkey Trot FAQs
Packet pick up will be held at the Lincolnwood Community Center (4170 Morse Ave, Lincolnwood, IL 60712).
Wednesday, November 19: 9 am - 5 pm
Thursday, November 20: 9 am - 7 pm
Friday, November 21: 7 am - 5 pm
Saturday, November 22: 9 am - 1 pm
Sunday, November 23 (Race Day): 6:30 am in the race village near Proesel Park Family Aquatic Center
The Drumstick Dash is a 50-yard or 100-yard race (age-dependent) for children six years old and younger.
Children younger than five years old must be accompanied by a guardian (14+). Guardians are not required to register for the race, but all children participating in the race must be paid and registered.
Yes, registration will remain open during packet pick up and through race day morning. Advanced online registration is highly encouraged.
Yes, all 5k, 10k, and Drumstick Dash participants will receive a finisher medal at the finish line.
Yes, the Lincolnwood Turkey Trot is a USATF-certified course. (IL23031NM and IL23032NM).
For the safety of all runners, NO bicycles, in-line skates, wheeled vehicles, or animals (except registered service animals) are allowed on the course or in Proesel Park.
Wheelchairs, accessibility devices, and strollers ARE allowed. All runners with strollers must line up at the back of the race corral.
Service animals are allowed on race day but must be registered at least one week in advance of the race.
Turkey Trot will run rain or shine!
Pre-race inclement weather announcements will be made on the Village of Lincolnwood and Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation websites, social media pages, via email to all registered runners, and public address announcements.
In the event of severe weather, including but not limited to thunderstorms, tornadoes, and heat, the race director will monitor weather conditions and follow proper protocol. The race director maintains the right to cancel, alter, or postpone the event due to inclement weather.
No refunds will be given in the rare event of a race cancellation due to severe weather or other uncontrollable circumstances.
All race registrations are non-refundable. In the case of a participant cancellation, runners have the option to defer their race registration to 2026.
